We have taken our standard Northern Exposure coffee and end tables and up graded them by adding the shelf which provides extra storage for books, magazines or what ever else you might want to store under the table. These log tables go great with any log or lodge style futon or sofa.  The top is constructed of 2 1/2 inch thick solid knotty Ponderosa pine strips that are laminated together which helps to prevent warping and cracking. The edges of the log coffee and end table tops are hand scalloped using a drawknife to give each table that rustic or lodge look. The table legs are also hand scalloped using a drawknife to give them character and are secured to the top using mortise and tenon joinery.
